B2B prospecting software helps you find the right prospects, write to them and follow up on replies until you get a meeting. In 2026 the choice is huge: LinkedIn automation tools, email platforms, contact databases, buying signal tools. For an SME owner who needs to land those first meetings, the real question is not “which tool has the most features” but “which tool gets me conversations with the right decision-makers without eating up my days”. Here is our selection of the 10 best sales prospecting tools, with prices checked on 15 October 2026, their strengths, their limits and a scoring table.

📌 Key takeaways

  • There is no best prospecting software in absolute terms: there is the one that fits the time you have and the way you prospect.
  • Sending tools (Waalaxy, lemlist, La Growth Machine) send a lot, but targeting and messaging are still up to you.
  • Databases (Apollo, Kaspr, Pharow) give you contacts, not the moment or the reason to call them.
  • Signal tools (MeetMagnet, Gojiberry, Mantiks) spot who has a reason to buy now; MeetMagnet adds a done-for-you setup and a human who calibrates with you.

How did we choose and score these tools?

We picked the tools that SME owners and salespeople mention most often in our meetings, plus the buying signal tools that make the same promise as us. Every price and every feature comes from the vendor’s official page, read on 15 October 2026. Prices change often: check them before you sign.

In the interest of transparency: MeetMagnet is one of the tools compared, and we gave the scores ourselves. We scored on what matters to an SME that wants meetings: the right moment, the right message, and the time you have to spend on it. Where a competitor does better than us (contact data, multichannel), the score says so. For signal and intent data tools only, see also our buying signal software comparison.

The 10 prospecting tools in detail

1. MeetMagnet

MeetMagnet spots the prospects who have a reason to reply to you now, writes the opener based on what happened, and follows the conversation through to the meeting. It is buying signal prospecting software designed for SME owners and small sales teams who have no time to prospect.

Screenshot of the MeetMagnet homepage (meet-magnet.com), taken on 15 October 2026
MeetMagnet: the homepage on 15 October 2026

What sets it apart comes down to three points: a done-for-you setup (the target, the intents tracked and the messages are built with you), signals everywhere (LinkedIn as standard, then reviews, forums, press, job postings and social networks with the multi-source option), and a human who calibrates your prospecting with you week after week.

Key features

  • Buying signal detection on LinkedIn, every day, weekends included
  • Multi-source option: reviews, forums, press, job postings, social networks
  • Opener written from the signal, approved by you before sending
  • Conversation agent that replies, follows up and offers slots from your calendar
  • MCP connector to run MeetMagnet from ChatGPT or Claude

Strengths

  • Unlimited signals, no credits to buy
  • Human support: calibration at D+7, reviews at D+30, D+60 and D+90 in the Managed plan
  • The goal is the meeting, not the volume of messages

Limits

  • It is not a database: no bulk export of emails and phone numbers
  • Multi-source is reserved for the Managed plan
  • Sending volume follows LinkedIn’s limits, as with every tool

Price

  • Self-serve: €149/month excl. VAT, free trial
  • Managed: €299/month excl. VAT, 3-month commitment, setup and follow-up included

2. Waalaxy

Waalaxy is the best-known LinkedIn automation tool among French SMEs: invitations, messages and follow-ups go out on their own, and the tool claims more than 200,000 users. It was designed for people who have never prospected: 75% of its users had never done LinkedIn prospecting, according to its pricing page.

Screenshot of the Waalaxy homepage (waalaxy.com), taken on 15 October 2026
Waalaxy: the homepage on 15 October 2026

Waalaxy is very good at sending. However, it doesn’t tell you who to write to first or why now: its “signals” are targeting filters (reactions to a post, groups, events), and you still have to write the message. Our detailed MeetMagnet vs Waalaxy comparison goes into the details.

Key features

  • LinkedIn invitation and message campaigns with automatic follow-ups
  • Cold email and LinkedIn + email campaigns (Business plan)
  • AI writing assistant and sequence templates
  • LinkedIn inbox (paid add-on, 500 conversations included)

  • Very easy to get started with
  • Entry price among the lowest on the market
  • 14-day free trial

  • Pro: €19/month per user
  • Advanced: €49/month, Business: €69/month

lemlist: the homepage on 15 October 2026

lemlist also tracks buying signals (hiring, fundraising, website visits, job changes, LinkedIn engagement), but they are paid for with credits. For signals + multichannel use, the real cost climbs quickly. See MeetMagnet vs lemlist.

  • Lead database and email and phone finder

Screenshot of the Apollo.io homepage (apollo.io), taken on 15 October 2026
Apollo.io: the homepage on 15 October 2026

Apollo offers “intent topics”: research themes in which companies show interest. This is intent at company level, useful for prioritising accounts, less so for knowing which person to contact and with what message.

  • Purchase intent by topic (1 to 12 depending on the plan)
  • Identification of companies visiting your website

Screenshot of the LinkedIn Sales Navigator homepage (business.linkedin.com), taken on 15 October 2026

Pharow: the homepage on 15 October 2026

Pharow builds excellent lists and pushes them to lemlist, La Growth Machine or your CRM. It doesn’t write or send messages: you need a sending tool alongside it.

Key features

  • Detection of visits to your website
  • Email and phone enrichment, one-click export

Strengths

Screenshot of the Kaspr homepage (kaspr.io), taken on 15 October 2026
Kaspr: the homepage on 15 October 2026

Kaspr doesn’t look for prospects for you or tell you which ones are ready to buy: intent data is only offered on the Enterprise plan.

Key features

  • Chrome extension on LinkedIn, Sales Navigator and Recruiter Lite
  • Unlimited B2B emails from the Starter plan
  • Phone and direct email credits
  • CRM and dialler integrations

Strengths

  • Free plan

10. Mantiks

Mantiks turns job postings into sales opportunities: when a company hires for a role related to what you sell, Mantiks surfaces it with the right contact. It is a reliable buying signal for recruitment agencies, IT services firms and software vendors.

Screenshot of the Mantiks homepage (mantiks.io), taken on 15 October 2026
Mantiks: the homepage on 15 October 2026

That is also its limit: a single source of signals. Mantiks offers outsourced prospecting on quote for those who don’t want to handle it themselves.

Key features

  • Alerts on new hiring
  • Search for companies, roles and contacts
  • Matching between CVs and opportunities, for recruiters

Which prospecting software should you choose for your profile?

A quick comparison to find the tool that suits you:

  • 🎯 To land meetings without spending your days on it: MeetMagnet, Managed plan
  • 🔎 For buying signals beyond LinkedIn: MeetMagnet (multi-source option), Mantiks for job postings
  • 🚀 To send in volume on LinkedIn at a low price: Waalaxy
  • ✉️ For email and multichannel sequences: lemlist, La Growth Machine
  • 📇 To find emails and phone numbers: Kaspr, Apollo, Pharow
  • 🔍 For precise targeting inside LinkedIn: Sales Navigator
  • 🤖 For a signal tool you run yourself: Gojiberry, MeetMagnet Self-serve

Which criteria really matter in 2026?

Before choosing, check that the tool covers what makes a meeting, not just what makes a send. Here are the eight criteria we scored:

  • Buying signals: does the tool spot who has a reason to buy now?
  • Multi-source: do signals come from somewhere other than LinkedIn (reviews, forums, press, job postings)?
  • Opener: does the first message start from the signal, or from a generic template?
  • Conversation: does the tool help you reply, follow up and offer a slot?
  • Setup and support: does a human build the target and messages with you?
  • Multichannel: LinkedIn, email, phone in the same sequence
  • Contact data: verified emails and phone numbers
  • Price for an SME: real cost including credits and options

Here are the scores out of 10 given to each tool, based on the vendors’ pages as of 15 October 2026:

Software Signals Multi-source Opener Conversation Setup Multichannel Data Price
MeetMagnet 9 8 9 8 9 6 5 7
Waalaxy 3 2 4 3 2 6 4 10
lemlist 7 5 7 4 4 10 8 6
La Growth Machine 5 3 6 5 5 9 6 6
Gojiberry 8 6 7 5 4 6 6 8
Apollo.io 5 5 6 3 2 8 9 8
Sales Navigator 5 1 1 2 1 3 4 6
Pharow 6 6 1 1 4 1 9 6
Kaspr 1 1 1 1 2 2 9 8
Mantiks 7 3 3 1 4 2 6 6
Heatmap of scores out of 10 for the 10 B2B prospecting tools across 8 criteria, MeetMagnet first
Scores out of 10 for each tool, criterion by criterion

The takeaway: no tool scores 10 across the board. Sending tools win on multichannel, databases on contacts, signal tools on the right moment and the right message.

How do you set up your prospecting software successfully?

A good tool badly configured produces nothing. Four tips from our client work:

1. Start with a narrow target. One sector, one company size, one or two roles. You can widen it once the first meetings come in.

2. Write from a fact. A signal (a hire, a post, a review) gives you a reason to write. Without a fact, your message looks like the hundreds of others your prospect receives. 💡 Our sales opening line examples show the difference.

Example

Signal: the manager of a manufacturing site posts about production line stoppages at his plant.

Opener: “Hi Paul, your post about line stoppages struck a chord. Right now, is the bottleneck more on maintenance or on spare parts?”

3. Measure replies, not sends. Acceptance rate and the number of messages sent are flattering; the positive reply rate and the meetings booked tell the truth.

4. Calibrate after one week. Rule out profiles that are not your target, adjust the intents tracked and the messages. That is what we do at D+7 with every Managed client.

Choosing B2B prospecting software in 2026 is less about ticking off features than finding the tool that fits your time and the way you sell. If you want to send a lot and run things yourself, Waalaxy, lemlist or La Growth Machine will do the job. If you want contacts, Kaspr, Apollo or Pharow. If you want meetings with decision-makers who have a reason to reply, without building campaigns, that is MeetMagnet’s territory. 👉 Start simple, measure meetings, and keep the tool that brings them in.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best B2B prospecting software in 2026?

There isn't just one: it all depends on what you need. To send in volume on LinkedIn, Waalaxy is the simplest. For email and multichannel sequences, lemlist or La Growth Machine. For contacts, Kaspr or Apollo. For meetings with decision-makers who have a reason to buy, without building campaigns, MeetMagnet on the Managed plan.

How much does B2B prospecting software cost?

From €0 to more than €150 per month per user as of 15 October 2026. Waalaxy starts at €19, Kaspr and Apollo have a free plan, lemlist starts at $69, Sales Navigator at €120.99. Watch out for credits and add-ons: at lemlist, 100 signals cost an extra $29 a month. MeetMagnet costs €149 excl. VAT, with unlimited signals.

What is the difference between an automation tool and a buying signal tool?

An automation tool sends your messages and follow-ups to the list you give it. A buying signal tool first spots who has a reason to buy now: a hire, a post, a review, a funding round. The first brings volume, the second brings the right moment and an opener drawn from a real fact.

Is prospecting software enough to get meetings?

Rarely on its own. You need a clear target, a message that starts from a fact and someone who replies quickly when the prospect shows interest. That is why MeetMagnet includes a conversation agent and, on the Managed plan, a human who builds the target and messages with you, then calibrates your prospecting for three months.

Do you need LinkedIn Sales Navigator to prospect?

No. Sales Navigator is a very good research tool, but it neither writes nor sends messages. Many tools use it as a targeting source. If you mainly prospect through buying signals, the signal tool already does the sorting, and Sales Navigator becomes optional.
